The mpg were shockingly good, too, which was a great surprise. None of the 'nicer' SUVs (rav-4, crv) have a locking differential (again, except for grand vitara), so for rough terrain, the terios is clearly somehow ahead of them. The tradeoff is a bare bones interior that looks like it is from the 90's. I was driving a 2011 fwiw.
