I am a novice at this so bare with me. I had the same problem as everyone else in not being able to pair my cellphone to my 2006 S Type. However I am looking into replacing the car radio with a Bluetooth receiver built in.
Try unplugging the 2 cables (one the fibre 'ring', the other the power unit). Give it a minute, and plug them back in. Or. Hold AM/FM and EJECT then release both and press EJECT and MIX at the same time. Keep pressing EJECT and MIX til it cycles through the audio network (MAIN, AMP, NAV, PHONE, CDC).

Just no sound from the speakers. As the black boxes for the ICE and Satnav are behind the boot lining my first guess is that over filling the boot has pressed the lining into something and dislodged it. Does anyone have any advice on this other than the obvious "remove the lining and wiggle the plugs". The car is a 2004 XJR with 171k on the clock.
